Scholarship

Randy and I attended the award ceremony at the college tonight.  I knew a few people there and was happy to be able to cheer for some of my friends as they accepted their own awards.

As for me...

I won a scholarship as well.  The award letter reads "Congratulations on receiving the Northwestern Community College Foundation Scholarship of $4,000.00.  This scholarship is payable in two semester installments of $2,000.00 each." 

That's my entire upcoming year of college- Fall and Spring semesters- paid for, including tuition, fees and books!

Not bad for my first-ever scholarship.

I've got a lot to be thankful for.

Whoa! It's always a bit of a shock to visit a blog after an absence and see it look... totally different! Shame on me for being away for so long:< I like the white background with the green accents. IT's very refreshing. Congratulations on the scholarship!!!!! I am so very happy for you!! You've been working so hard to make your dreams happen and this is a wonderful (and practical:>) affirmation of all you've done. I hope having the tuition covered will allow you to work less outside of school and focus on your academics and your personal self. Hurray! As for those grey hairs you mentioned above... they'll glitter in the sunlight and make you look all sparkly:>
